Mission Statement

Gethsemane Worship Center is a fellowship of believers that purpose to know God through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and to equip believers through discipleship. We are committed to fellowship through praise and exaltation of Jesus Christ. Showing God's love, we strive to reach a hungry world with Jesus Christ through obedience to the Great Commission to win souls. As believers in the God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit we aim to prepare individuals for the return of Jesus Christ, through the study and application of the Holy Bible.

Vision Statement

To create and encourage opportunities for men, women and children to have life changing experiences both naturally and spiritually. To enhance attributes that promotes Holy living by teaching each one to develop a relationship with the Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Service to our community

At Gethsemane, we believe in sowing as God would lead us to do.  Our outreach services extend our worship services to those who might not otherwise be able to attend church services.  We have services at a local north Topeka nursing home as well as the Rescue Mission in Topeka. Further, each year at Thanksgiving, in conjunction with the Topeka Rescue Mission, our members volunteer to deliver meals to those that are in need.  We open our doors to the local community during our annual events, like Vacation Bible School, Revival, the Women’s Prayer Breakfast, and the Youth Explosion along with our continuing commitment to Topeka Jump.

our pastors:
Raymond Berry

Pastor Berry surrendered his life to Christ May 19, 1970 and placed his membership at Faith Temple Church of God in Christ where he attended until 1989. He served as the Assistant Pastor for 12 of the 19 years that he attended. In September 1989, Raymond founded Gethsemane Church of God In Christ.  Pastor Berry is a firm believer of being a servant first. His main goal is to reach the lost at any cost. His heart is in Outreach Ministry. He and his wife conducted monthly services at Lansing State Penitentiary for approximately 30 years. He continues to minister monthly at the Topeka Rescue Mission where he has been for serving for 18 years and Brighton Place North where he has served for 15 years. Pastor Berry has had the opportunity to minister in Ghana and Togo West Africa where he and his wife plans to return in the near future.

Pamela Berry

Co-Pastor Berry gave her life to Christ at the tender age of 10 while attending her childhood church, Bethel Church of God in Christ under the leadership of the late Eld. C.J. Jackson and Eld. Isreal Ervin. She was called to the ministry in 1970. Pam and her husband founded Gethsemane Church of God in September of 1989 in Topeka, KS. They celebrated 25 years in September. She is currently holding the positions as Co-Pastor, Church Administrator, Executive Board member, Minister of Music and President and Founder of the Women of Destiny of which she orchestrates an anointed Women of Destiny Women’s Conference Women’s Prayer Breakfast, and Women’s Prayer Luncheon annually.  Co-Pastor’s ministry has opened doors for her to speak at various churches and women functions. Her ministry is that of a unique style in which she uses props to demonstrate her message. When she speaks, you can usually expect to leave with something tangible to remind you of her message.   She is an effective witness of Jesus Christ wherever she goes. Her passion is young people and hurting women. Her love for the youth has caused many to start attending church if they have never been before. She lives her life by her favorite Scripture - Phil. 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.”
